The MP80 pressed steel coupling is the market’s most widely used unbraked trailer hitch, designed for secure and reliable towing up to 750kg. Manufactured from high-quality pressed steel with a zinc-plated finish, it offers long-lasting durability and corrosion resistance for regular trailer use.
Versatile Compatibility
This 50mm coupling is suitable for replacing a variety of common hitches, including:
Knott KQ7K
AL-KO AK7D
Ifor Williams PO0355
Maypole unbraked trailers with 50mm drawbars
It features 90mm mounting hole centres on the top surface and requires 2 x M12 bolts (minimum grade 8.8) for secure installation.
Certified Safety and Usability Features
The MP80 coupling is R55 approved (D7.2, S75) and includes a wear and correct attachment indicator for enhanced towing safety. While it is supplied without a lock, it is compatible with the optional MP478B lock for added security and can be fitted with the soft dock MP1940 for impact protection.
