The Maypole MP279 Trailer Cop Universal Coupling Lock is a hitch security lock designed for most standard 50mm trailer couplings. It fits inside the coupling and expands to block access, helping prevent unauthorised towing.

How to Fit the Maypole MP279 Coupling Lock
- Raise the coupling handle, insert the lock and push it in until the handle can return to its closed position. Position the slot on either the left or right side.
- Turn the key 90° clockwise to remove the barrel lock. Use the supplied Allen key, turning clockwise, to expand the lock securely inside the coupling.
- Replace the barrel lock, turn the key 90° anticlockwise and remove it.
Important: Do not tow with the hitchlock fitted. Lubricate the locking mechanism before first use and periodically thereafter.
