Growing Information
- Growing Information Sow your seeds from February to April. Fill a tray or old margarine tub (with holes in the bottom) with compost and sprinkle your seeds on top.
- Cover with compost and watch for the appearance of the small seedlings which should take 7-13 days.
- When big enough to handle, pot on into little plant pots and keep on a warm, well-lit windowsill. Put them outside in the day to get used to the outdoors, but bring in at bedtime.
- Plant out in a sunny place or in large pots in late May to June.
- You can pick a few leaves to eat in salads, the tasty fruit will form later and are best eaten fresh.
- Ready to eat from late summer.
